 2022 African Community Service Awards NOMINEE

World Partners for Development (WPD) was nominated for the 2022 African Community Service Awards (ACSA). This is an annual event hosted by Alln1 Productions Inc in USA to recognize individuals or groups who have sacrificed their time and resources for the benefit of Africans all over the world, including Africans from the mother continent, Africans in Diaspora, and African Americans.

Educating Africa Pan African Awards

for Entrepreneurship Education

Our DIY Solar Light Entrepreneurship Business Model for rural schools won the Most Innovative Development Project award in a competition promoted by Educating Africa and Teach A Man To Fish, UK in 2012. WPD's project was among the top selected 3 NGOs working in Africa, with the most innovative entrepreneurship projects with high sustainable impact. This award was presented during the 2013 Annual Conference of Teach A Man To Fish in Paraguay, South America. Philip Darko, the Senior Program Director of World Partners for Development received the award on behalf of the organization.

Pan-African Awards

The Pan-African Awards reward the very best projects which are using enterprise and entrepreneurship to innovate in the field of education. The awards are generously supported by The Saville Foundation, a charitable foundation based in South Africa.  WPD was among the Top 20 in the Africa NGO category in 2017 for its innovative entrepreneurship program that makes underserved community schools more financial sustainable. 


2017 Classy Awards Finalist
Most Innovative & Social Enterprise  Nonprofits

In 2017, Village Samaritans was named as a finalist in the Classy Awards for its 21st Century social innovative programs that is empowering underserved communities in Africa. 100 projects were chosen from over one thousand nonprofit organizations projects worldwide. All finalist projects were selected for championing social progress in underprivileged communities across the globe. WPD's project model was showcased at the Classy Awards conference in Boston, USA in June, 2017. 

2016 Program Recognition

World Partners for Development (WPD) was recognized for the Entrepreneurship & Education Award. A UK-based charity, Teach A Man To Fish selected WPD as one of the Top 25 Africa NGOs with great innovative School Enterprise Program.

2013 - Education That Pays For Itself, Paraguay 
Philip Darko, World Partners for Development's International Program Director accepted a Honor Award on behalf of the organization at an international conference in Paraguay, South America. WPD was awarded for being among the top grassroots NGOs in Africa with high impact entrepreneurship school programs that link education, employability and enterprise.
